We are currently seeking a Production Leading Hand for our client, a well-established food manufacturing business located in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
This is a hands-on leadership role, supporting the Production Manager and overseeing day-to-day production operations to ensure product is manufactured safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and supervise production staff on shift
- Ensure production targets are met in line with the production plan
- Monitor process controls and complete production and quality records
- Maintain compliance with WHS, Quality, and HACCP systems
- Identify and report product, process, or quality issues
- Support stock control, storage, and distribution activities
- Ensure equipment and work areas are kept clean and operational
- Assist with training and development of production staff
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience in a leading hand or supervisory role within food or beverage manufacturing
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality systems
- Confident leading teams and making decisions on the production floor
- Mechanically minded with basic maintenance knowledge (desirable)
- Full Australian working rights
