Mark: Black Line is looking for a motivated, resilient, and coachable Senior Business Development Representative to drive growth across our Invoice-to-Cash solution portfolio.
As a BDR, you will play a central role in our Go-To-Market (GTM) engine, engaging senior finance executives and building a high-quality pipeline across priority accounts in Australia and New Zealand.
Working here means you will partner closely with Account Executives, contributing directly to territory planning, account prioritisation, outbound strategy, and early-stage opportunity progression.
We do not expect you to know everything on day one.
Black Line provides structured onboarding, continuous coaching, and dedicated enablement programmes to help you build financial technology expertise and set you up for a successful career in software sales.
You'll Get To
- Build deep expertise in Black Line's Invoice-to-Cash portfolio to help finance departments transform their operations;
- Own targeted outbound campaigns across enterprise accounts using a mix of phone, email, and Linked In;
- Research and connect with CFOs, Financial Controllers, and heads of Accounts Receivable or Finance Transformation, leading conversations grounded in commercial curiosity and value;
- Translate external triggers - such as earnings reports, ERP transformations, or hiring trends - into highly relevant outbound messaging to surface new business priorities;
- Collaborate daily with sales, marketing, and operations teams on forecasting and pipeline health;
- Leverage a modern tech stack including Salesforce, Gong Engage, Orum, 6sense, Highspot, Linked In Sales Navigator, and Gemini Enterprise.
What You’ll Bring
- A proactive, resilient approach to outbound prospecting, viewing a 'no' as a learning opportunity;
- A high degree of coachability with a genuine desire to learn, adapt, and quickly absorb feedback;
- Confidence picking up the phone and starting warm, value-driven conversations with senior business stakeholders;
- A team-first attitude with the ability to work cross-functionally across sales, marketing, and operations teams to align on pipeline goals;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for translating research into compelling outreach;
- Strong self-management and CRM hygiene to balance high-volume activity with thoughtful research.
