The Role

We are looking for a passionate and driven Course Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will have a direct impact on our playing conditions and overall player experience by managing everyday course presentation, leading our maintenance crew, and executing strategic agronomy and master planning initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, consistent playing surfaces across greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and surrounding areas.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Golf Committee, and Board of Directors to achieve long-term development plans.
  • Manage and optimize course infrastructure, including our updated irrigation, water retention, and stormwater systems.
  • Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and innovate within turf management, nutrition, chemical tracking, and pest control.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, prepare operational budgets, and report on progress directly to the General Manager.

To Thrive in This Role, You Will Need

  • Proven experience as a Course Superintendent or an Assistant Superintendent looking to step up.
  • Strong proficiency with modern turf management techniques, soil management, and machinery fleet maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage professionally with committees, contractors, and club members.
  • A strong track record of hands‑on team leadership, staff development, and workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance.
  • Relevant qualifications in Sports Turf Management (Cert III minimum, Diploma preferred) alongside current chemical application accreditation.

What’s in It for You?

  • Flexibility: Autonomy to structure work programs and manage seasonal demands alongside your team.
  • Growth: Opportunity to leave your mark on the highest 18-hole course in NSW, with ongoing support for professional development and industry engagement.
  • Perks: Modern, recently upgraded course infrastructure—including advanced drainage systems.
  • Culture: A collaborative, inclusive, and supportive community club environment that values pride in workmanship.
