Join a fast-growing global engineering consultancy and deliver high-impact solutions across data centre projects. Reporting to the Principal Engineer/AD, this role is part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for providing sound technical design support on mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines, to ensure project requirements and clients’ specifications are fully met.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compile specifications, drawings and relevant contract documents as per client/project requirements.
- Maintain the required technical quality of work, ensuring that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures.
- Contribute as part of a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure successful preparation and delivery on project objectives, including providing technical support.
- Provide information to build budgets for clients based on their specifications.
- Liaise with the Client and external design teams as necessary for the successful delivery of projects.
- Contribute to the development and growth of the company by identifying new opportunities and potential areas for growth and also maintaining and developing existing client relationships.
- Provide electrical or mechanical engineering services design for buildings and infrastructure.
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process, maintain planning and cost control on all scopes.
- Other reasonable duties as appropriate.
EXPERIENCE
- BSc/BEng or HND/HNC in appropriate engineering discipline.
- Associate of an appropriate professional body, such as CIBSE, IET.
- Prior experience of MEP design for a range of building types.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications Word, Excel etc.
- Experience and knowledge of relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, NES, Cymap).
- Prior working knowledge of applicable legal/regulatory requirements, codes and standards.
