Black Ram Equipment Hire is a growing construction equipment hire business servicing Brisbane and surrounding areas. We are looking for a reliable, practical and motivated Service Person / Driver to join our team on a casual basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with machinery, is mechanically minded and takes pride in keeping equipment clean, maintained and ready for customers.
The Role
The role will involve a combination of equipment servicing, yard duties, deliveries and collections. No two days are necessarily the same. Typical duties include:
- Delivering and collecting construction equipment from customers
- Loading and unloading equipment safely
- Cleaning and preparing machinery for hire
- Basic servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Checking equipment before and after hire
- Refuelling and general yard duties
- Assisting customers with equipment when required
- Keeping the yard, workshop and equipment organised
- Completing delivery and collection paperwork
- Representing Black Ram Equipment Hire in a professional and friendly manner
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a strong work ethic and reliable attitude
- Is mechanically minded and enjoys working with machinery
- Has good attention to detail
- Can work independently and as part of a small team
- Is physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Has good communication and customer service skills
- Has a current driver's licence
- Is comfortable driving larger vehicles and towing trailers
- Has construction, machinery, equipment hire or mechanical experience (preferred but not essential)
- A LR, MR or HR licence and/or forklift licence would be an advantage, but training may be available for the right person.
