Junior Video Editor / Videographer / Photographer
Birds Eye Media is a creative production company specialising in drone, timelapse, video and photography.
We're Perth-based and work nationally across defence, construction, mining, sport and retail.
We're looking for a junior who wants to get properly good at this.
Most of your time will go into editing and shooting.
You'll work day to day with our senior drone pilot and shooter, who will be your direct lead and the person teaching you the craft.
Key responsibilities
- Edit client video, from social cutdowns to longer hero films
- Shoot video and stills on location, on the ground and in the air
- Assist on drone, timelapse, 360 and cable cam shoots
- Manage footage and backups, and keep projects organised in Click Up
- Turn feedback into revisions quickly and accurately
About you
- Working knowledge of Da Vinci Resolve and/or Adobe Premiere, Lightroom and Photoshop
- You take notes, write them down and come back with them done
- You flag problems early
- You're comfortable with occasional weekend or regional shoots
- A driver's licence (you'll drive company vehicles to shoots)
- Drone experience or an Re PL (if you don't have one, we'll get you licensed) – nice to have
- Colour grading, sound or motion graphics skills – nice to have
- An understanding of social formats and platforms – nice to have
