Portara is hiring! We’re looking for an experienced cell biologist to join our founding team and set up the cell-based assays our compound decisions will rest on. Think viability and apoptosis assays, Western blots, RT-qPCR and flow, done carefully, reproducibly, and with the judgement. This is a hands‑on bench role. It’s a chance to put your skills to work on a new class of small molecule medicines, in a small team where your work directly shapes which compounds move forward.
A few details:
- Location: Jumar Bioincubator, Melbourne
- Hours: 0.5 to 1 FTE, with days and hours agreed around you
- Start: December 2026
We’d love to hear from experienced research assistants, and scientists moving out of academia.
Applications close 15 November.
