About the role
The Enterprise Architect is a strategic, part time leadership role responsible for aligning Beyond Blue’s technology landscape with our organisational strategy and transformation priorities. Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, you will define and evolve our current and target enterprise architecture, establish practical architecture governance, and develop clear principles and roadmaps to guide technology investment, modernisation and decision making. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will bring together solution, data, application, security and other architecture perspectives to create a cohesive and sustainable technology environment. You will lead a team of three and focus your expertise on the highest value and highest risk decisions, helping Beyond Blue make informed choices that are scalable, secure and aligned with our long term direction.
About you
You are an experienced enterprise architecture leader who can connect organisational strategy, business capabilities and technology direction. You bring broad expertise across applications, integration, data, cloud, digital, infrastructure, cyber security and privacy, together with the judgement to apply recognised architecture frameworks pragmatically within a complex, evolving organisation. You are a trusted adviser and collaborative leader who can influence senior stakeholders, technology specialists and external partners without relying on direct authority. You communicate complex concepts clearly, facilitate constructive decision making and know how to balance innovation with security, privacy, operational, commercial and organisational considerations.

- Demonstrated enterprise data architecture experience and the ability to work effectively alongside data and insights functions.
- Proven experience establishing pragmatic architecture governance and assuring complex solution designs.
- Working knowledge of recognised enterprise architecture frameworks and methods, including TOGAF, and the judgement to tailor them to organisational scale and maturity.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging technologies and communicate strategic fit, value, risk, dependencies and trade-offs.
Key Strengths
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise architecture views, decision papers and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
- Strong prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to focus part time capacity on the decisions and activities that offer the greatest organisational value.
