Build your foundations. Develop your skills. Put them into practice. Your first job should give you experienced people to learn from and opportunities to become the dentist you want to be. At Smile Lounge, we’ve helped many new graduate dentists and OHTs develop into clinicians practising their full scope over the years. We’ve built our training program around that experience.

Our approach is straightforward: when you’re trained, or learning through our training program with appropriate support and supervision, we give you opportunities to use those skills.

What your development can look like:

  • First 0–6 months: Build experience across the full scope of general dentistry and begin learning and providing clear aligner treatment through our training program.
  • Months 6–12: Improve your proficiency, clinical judgement and treatment planning, while progressing to more advanced work.
  • Years 1–3: Develop further into areas such as braces, implants and cosmetic dentistry, including bonding and veneers.

Progression is based on your training, readiness and each patient’s needs. We want you to move forward with confidence and sound clinical foundations.

The support behind the opportunities:

You’ll have structured mentorship from our clinician-owners, case discussions, regular team training and monthly study clubs. You’ll work alongside experienced clinicians and a support team who understand that learning takes questions, practice and feedback. Our private, full-fee practice has CEREC Primescan and Primemill, iTero, rotary endodontics, digital photography and more. You’ll learn how to use these tools as part of thoughtful patient care. We care about how patients feel and how our team works together. Clear explanations, respectful communication and helping each other are part of the job.

Who we’re looking for:

A graduate who cares about patients, wants to learn and follows through. You ask questions, take feedback on board and are willing to invest time in your development. You’re looking for a team where you can contribute, feel supported and build a career.
