Are you passionate about fitness, customer service, and helping people achieve their health goals? Somerville Recreation Centre is seeking energetic and motivated Gym Instructors to join our team as we launch our exciting new gym facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing fitness community, build strong member relationships, and help create an exceptional health and wellness experience from day one.
About the Role
As a Gym Instructor, you'll be the face of the gym floor, providing guidance, encouragement, and support to members of all fitness levels. You'll play a key role in delivering outstanding customer experiences while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and motivating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct member inductions and onboarding appointments
- Provide exercise guidance and technique correction
- Deliver small group functional training sessions
- Support member retention through exceptional customer service
- Monitor gym floor safety and equipment standards
- Promote fitness programs, challenges, and wellness initiatives
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional gym environment
- Work collaboratively with personal trainers, group fitness instructors, and the wider centre team.

Essential Qualifications
- Certificate III in Fitness
- Current First Ade Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- Certificate IV in Fitness
- AusActive Registration.
