Retail Sales Assistant & Battery Technician Full-Time / Part-Time
We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused, and hands-on team member to join our Battery World Auburn store. This role involves over-the-counter retail sales, face-to-face customer service, and hands-on battery testing, fitting, and technical support.
Key responsibilities
Provide expert advice and excellent customer service to retail and commercial clients.
Perform battery testing, diagnosis, and installations (automotive, auxiliary, and deep-cycle systems).
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle daily store transactions safely.
Maintain stock presentation, inventory organization, and general store tidiness.
Work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
About you
Previous experience in retail sales, automotive, batteries, customer service, or technical roles is preferred.
Punctual, reliable, and physically fit (comfortable lifting heavy items).
Mechanically minded with a willingness to learn technical testing equipment.
Valid Australian driver's licence is required.
Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to top-tier customer service.
