You will collaborate with health professionals and service providers across sectors while developing your clinical skills within a supportive team environment.

As a Speech Pathologist (AHP2), you will apply consolidated clinical and primary health care experience to plan, implement and evaluate speech pathology services for both children and adults. Working under reduced clinical direction, you may contribute to the supervision of less experienced allied health staff, allied health assistants and students, while supporting service delivery within a primary health care framework.

The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network offers opportunities across our sites, from Kangaroo Island to Eudunda, wrapping all the way around our metropolitan areas. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional care to all our consumers, residents, their families, and community. Our mission is to ensure that you always receive the best quality, safe, consistent, collaborative care and always with kindness.

Are you a qualified Speech Pathologist with a commitment to person-centred, community-focused care? Do you enjoy working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and across service sectors? Are you motivated to develop your clinical skills and contribute to quality improvement and service development? For AHP2 applicants, do you bring consolidated clinical experience and the capability to support and guide others?

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Deliver evidence-based speech pathology services using preventative, early intervention, therapeutic and evaluative approaches.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with external service providers.
  • Support continuity and quality of care aligned to community needs.
  • Contribute to service planning, evaluation and continuous improvement activities.
  • For AHP2 roles, provide clinical guidance and supervision to less experienced staff and students as appropriate.
