Stylist in Melbourne

Melbourne Full-Time On-site
B

We're looking for a Fashion Stylist with a curiosity for fashion and the ability to communicate why certain outfits work, not just how to put them together.

Working closely with our Head of Creative, you'll grow the styling direction we use to educate our customers, then execute it on set. You'll source, prepare, and style outfits that elevate our footwear, while working with our marketing and social teams to communicate styling concepts that inspire them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

Campaign & Content Styling

  • Style models across campaign, social and eCommerce shoots.
  • Source clothing and accessories that align with Bared's creative direction.
  • Prepare complete looks ahead of shoots, ensuring all garments are organised, fitted and ready.
  • Work alongside the creative team on set to execute styling efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
  • Assist with styling flat lays and other product-focused creative where required.

Outfit Development

  • Develop multiple outfit options for upcoming footwear collections.
  • Build aspirational yet wearable looks that show customers how to style Bared shoes.
  • Stay across seasonal fashion trends, runway influences, and emerging styling directions while filtering them through the Bared brand.
  • Continuously discover new brands, labels and styling references that inspire fresh creative thinking.

Styling Education

  • Help create styling content that explains why outfits work—not just what to wear.
  • Collaborate with the content team on "How to Wear" series, social content and educational storytelling.
  • Translate styling concepts into language that customers can easily understand and apply.
  • Occasionally appear on camera to explain styling decisions or outfit formulas
  • Partner closely with the Head of Creative to bring the creative vision to life.
  • Contribute ideas during concept development while working within an established creative direction.
  • Become a trusted styling resource for the wider creative and marketing team.

Building Styling Systems

As the role grows, you'll help us build repeatable styling knowledge across the business.

This may include:

  • Documenting styling principles and outfit frameworks.
  • Building libraries of successful outfit combinations.
  • Contributing to future AI-assisted styling initiatives by helping define what great styling looks like.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Has exceptional personal taste and a genuine passion for fashion.
  • Understands proportion, silhouette, colour, texture and how footwear completes/elevates an outfit.
  • Can explain why an outfit works - not just that it looks good.
  • Is naturally curious about fashion and trends.
  • Is highly organised and enjoys preparing shoots behind the scenes.
  • Loves collaborating with creative people.
  • Is proactive, resourceful and solutions-focused.
  • Can balance aspirational fashion with commercial wearability.
  • Enjoys helping other people understand style.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape how thousands of people think about styling footwear and outfits. You’ll work alongside an experienced creative team, contribute to major campaigns, experiment with new creative ideas, and help build a styling language that reaches far beyond the photoshoot.

THE BENEFITS:

  • A supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Be part of a proud B Corp-certified company committed to doing business better.
  • Competitive remuneration and employee discounts.
  • Well-being program (EAP, yearly free flu vaccinations, and company-funded paid parental leave).
  • Company-run activities, dinners and events.
