Axis Rehabilitation at Work β Melbourne VIC
Take Your Psychology Career Beyond the Traditional Clinic
At Axis, we're looking for a passionate Registered Psychologist who wants to make a genuine impact on workplace wellbeing through early intervention, mental health support, and proactive care.
This unique role offers the opportunity to work across a mix of onsite workplace settings, telehealth consultations, and clinic-based services throughout Melbourne's east and south-east. You'll primarily support employees onsite at Dandenong, while also having the opportunity to work from clinic locations near Balwyn and the Melbourne CBD.
About the Opportunity
This is not your typical clinic-based psychology role.
You'll spend time building relationships with employees in real workplace environments, providing early intervention support, facilitating wellbeing initiatives, and helping organisations create mentally healthy workplaces before issues escalation.
Working alongside our multidisciplinary team, you'll combine psychological expertise with practical, solution-focused strategies that create meaningful outcomes for both individuals and organisations.
Genuine Interest in Workplace Psychology
Whether you've worked in workplace mental health, EAP, occupational rehabilitation, health coaching, or are looking to transition into this space, you'll have a strong interest in how psychology can positively impact individuals at work.
Confidence Working Independently in Workplace Environments
You'll be comfortable stepping outside the traditional clinic setting and engaging with employees onsite within blue-collar and operational environments, including large distribution and logistics facilities.
Strong Communication and Relationship-Building Skills
You'll enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life, building trust quickly, facilitating wellbeing conversations, and working collaboratively with workplace leaders and stakeholders.
- Delivering short-term psychological support and solution-focused interventions
- Conducting proactive wellbeing check-ins with employees
- Supporting individuals experiencing personal, mental health, or workplace challenges
- Facilitating wellbeing workshops, training sessions and toolbox talks
- Delivering programs focused on resilience, stress management, emotional wellbeing and workplace mental health
- Developing support plans and coordinating referrals where required
- Partnering with managers and workplace stakeholders
- Collaborating with Axis Injury Prevention Specialists and the broader multidisciplinary team
What You'll Bring
- General Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist
- Experience in counselling, coaching, mental health support or brief intervention services
- An interest in workplace psychology, prevention and early intervention
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence facilitating presentations, workshops or group sessions
- Ability to work autonomously across a variety of workplace environments
- Current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
- Full Australian working rights
