We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate activities ranging from simple tasks to more complex plans.
This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct customer workshops and design end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
- Architect, configure, administer and troubleshoot Citrix Xen App, Xen Desktop, Xen Server and Net Scaler/ADC environments.
- Manage Citrix migrations, upgrades, high availability and load balancing.
- Administer Windows Server environments and support enterprise applications.
- Support VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft SCCM and Power Shell automation.
- Troubleshoot network, storage, virtualisation and data-centre infrastructure issues.
- Monitor system health, performance and availability; implement improvements to reliability and efficiency.
- Develop technical documentation, operational procedures and support processes.
- Collaborate with customers, application owners and infrastructure teams.
- Support 24×7 operations and participate in after-hours support when required.
- Identify opportunities for solution expansion, upselling and cross-selling.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in network, storage and data-centre infrastructure.
- 7+ years of Wintel engineering/architecture experience.
- 6+ years of experience with Citrix Xen App, Xen Desktop and Xen Server design, migration and troubleshooting.
- 2+ years of experience with Citrix Net Scaler/ADC HA and load balancing.
- Minimum 2 years each with VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Strong Windows Server, TCP/IP, OSI model, routing and switching knowledge.
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM, Power Shell and converged infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across all seven OSI layers.
- Strong customer communication, technical consulting, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
