AWX is seeking a reliable Dockhand to join a busy freight and logistics company based in Carrara. This role is a morning shift, making it ideal for students, people with family commitments or anyone looking for part‐time hours.
Shift Time
- 5:00am to 9:00am
- Most shifts are approximately four hours
Duties
- Loading and unloading trucks by hand
- Sorting, scanning and staging freight
- Checking labels and consignment details
- Working alongside drivers and forklift operators
- Keeping the loading dock clean, organised and free from hazards
- Handling freight of varying sizes and weights
What We Are Looking For
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting
- Reliable and able to commit to the required shift times
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling throughout the shift
- Previous warehouse, freight or logistics experience is preferred
- Own reliable vehicle and transport to get to and from work
- Valid Australian working rights
