AWX is seeking experienced and safety-focused workers for multiple ongoing opportunities across Vegetation Management, Incident Response, and Structures Maintenance teams located in Nathan and Hemmant.
These roles offer a mix of day, night and weekend work across infrastructure maintenance, vegetation management, asset upkeep, incident response, and civil maintenance activities. About The Roles
Working within established maintenance and infrastructure teams, your duties may include:
- General civil and maintenance labouring
- Vegetation control and roadside maintenance
- Brush cutting, tree trimming and debris removal
- Weed spraying and environmental management activities
- Monitoring subcontractors and site compliance
- Incident response and emergency maintenance support
- Bridge and structure maintenance works
- Site setup and pack-down activities
- Vehicle and equipment operation
- Completion of safety documentation and SWMS compliance checks
- Maintaining safe, clean and organised work areas
Essential Requirements
- White Card
- Current LR or MR Truck Licence
- Previous labouring, maintenance, civil construction or vegetation management experience
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable transport and flexibility to work rotating rosters
- Physically fit and capable of manual tasks
Highly Regarded
- Traffic Management Implementation (TMI)
- Traffic Management for Construction (TMA)
- Experience with Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS)
- Brush cutting experience
- ACDC Chemical Spraying Ticket
- Chainsaw and Pole Saw Tickets
- Bridge or structures maintenance experience
- Experience monitoring contractors and subcontractors
- Road corridor, vegetation or infrastructure maintenance experience
