AWI Steel Infrastructure Australia Pty Ltd, is an Australian Owned and Operated Structural Steel company location in the Silverwater Industrial area (postcode 2128; Sydney Metro Area).
The company originated as AWI Steel, established 1992. Based on industry adjustments over the years, in 2018 we shifted focus to future planning and accreditations; starting with IMS for quality, safety and environment. Then to further improve our suitability to large projects and infrastructure, we continued to improve by obtaining CC3 accreditations for in-house capability and processes; specifically, ISO 3834.2 and AS/NZS 5131 relating to welding and traceability compliance. To evolve with succession planning, in 2024 we changed our name to AWI Steel Infrastructure Australia Pty Ltd.

We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor and Welding Coordinator to support steel fabrication projects.
Requirements
Valid visa with the right to work in Australia
Minimum 5 years’ experience in welding supervision
A relevant welding qualification, such as AS/NZS 2214, AS 1796 Certificate 10, IWE, IWS or IWT
Familiarity with TfNSW projects and requirements
Experience with AS/NZS 5131 CC3 and ISO 3834-2
Key responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise welding activities, support compliance with project and welding quality requirements, work with fabrication teams, clients and auditors to maintain quality and safety standards.
