We offer secure, ongoing full-time employment, opportunities to develop specialised skills and a long-term career with an award winning Australian manufacturer.

What you'll be doing:

  • Perform precision TIG welding to meet engineering drawings, welding procedures and customer requirements.
  • Complete complex welding tasks across stainless steel, titanium, nickel-based alloys and other cast materials.
  • Check weld quality and integrity before components move to the next production stage.
  • Provide technical advice, help solve welding problems and support on-the-job training for other team members.
  • Work with Quality and Engineering to investigate issues, minimise rework and achieve quality results first time.
  • Maintain accurate weld maps and production records, including recording completed work in Guardian.
  • Support quality audits, including NADCAP, and undertake welding inspection duties as required.
  • Maintain welding equipment, monitor consumables and identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean and organised workplace.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in precision TIG welding.
  • Experience welding stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys or similar high-performance materials.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical requirements.
  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to quality, safe work practices and following welding procedures.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to keep learning.
  • A positive, collaborative approach and the confidence to share knowledge with others.
  • The ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
  • Basic computer skills to complete production records.

Why AW Bell:

  • Secure permanent full-time employment
  • Monthly Rostered Day Off
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Training and development in specialised welding processes
  • Stable Australian manufacturer with over 70 years of history
  • Opportunities to develop your technical expertise and progress your career
  • The satisfaction of producing components for demanding aerospace and Defence applications
  • Genuinely great people

If you're looking for secure work with a company that values quality, teamwork and people, we'd love to hear from you. Please note, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and applicants must have the right to work in Australia. Applications close on 30 October 2026. We encourage women to apply. Research shows that women are less likely to apply for a role unless they meet every requirement. If you have precision TIG welding experience and this opportunity interests you, but you don’t tick every box, we’d still love to hear from you.
