Small Animal Veterinarian at Avoca Drive Animal Hospital, Australia's first Fear Free Certified veterinary hospital. A close-knit, independent small animal practice in Erina, on the Central Coast of NSW. The role offers the opportunity to practice medicine with time to do things properly and a team that has your back.
Key responsibilities
- Provide small animal veterinary medicine and surgery
- Conduct consultations using Fear Free, low-stress handling methods
- Perform surgical procedures
- Utilise AI-supported diagnostics including Vetology radiograph analysis, Zoetis Imagyst AI scanning microscope for cytology, and Butterfly iQ+ handheld ultrasound
- Implement structured rechecks and best-practice medicine
- Work collaboratively with nursing team who manage pharmacy, labelling, set-up, records, consents and client communication
About you
- Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW
- Small animal experience, with confidence in surgery
- A passion for Fear Free, low-stress handling, or keen to learn it
- A warm, clear communicator with clients and the team
