Sewing Operator - Garments Alteration, Embroidery and Branding | North West
Australian Staffing Agency is seeking experienced Sewing Operators for immediate starts in Melbourne's north-western suburbs. Join a supportive team specialising in garment branding, including sewing, embroidery, heat press and clothing finishing services.
Available Shifts
- Day: Monday-Friday, 6 AM-2 PM | $33+ per hour
- Afternoon: Monday-Friday, 3 PM-11 PM | $37+ per hour
About the Role
As part of the team, you will help customise clothing and garments to meet customer requirements. Your duties may include:
- Operating sewing machines to attach badges, patches, labels and other garment components.
- Assisting with embroidery and heat press applications for logos and branding.
- Preparing garments and checking branding placement against job instructions.
- Trimming threads and checking finished garments for stitching quality, accuracy and presentation.
- Folding, packing and sorting completed garments for dispatch.
- Assisting with other garment-finishing tasks and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
About You
- Previous sewing experience, with industrial sewing experience highly regarded.
- Able to read and write basic English and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working towards production targets.
- Willing to learn embroidery, heat press and other garment-branding processes.
- Reliable and available for your nominated shift.
- Able to attend a face-to-face interview in Laverton North.
