Lead Lifeblood's digital strategy, roadmap and donor-facing digital ecosystem including web, self-service and emerging channels. Drive easy, personalised and human-centred experiences that support donor growth, engagement, retention and service excellence. Lead a high-performing multidisciplinary digital team and influence the ambitious, enterprise-wide digital transformation agenda.

About the role

We're looking for an exceptional Head of Digital to lead the vision, strategy and evolution of Lifeblood's donor-facing digital experience. This is a rare opportunity to shape how millions of Australians discover, engage with and stay connected to Lifeblood across every stage of the donor journey.

You’ll lead the digital strategy, performance and product roadmap for the Donor business unit. Working across digital product, experience design, content, data, automation, platforms and emerging technology, you'll create easy, personalised and human-centred experiences that support people to discover, register, book, prepare, donate, advocate and remain connected to Lifeblood. You'll own and evolve the Donor Experience digital strategy and integrated roadmap, balancing urgent improvements to today's services with the transformation required for future donor behaviours, channels and growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the Donor Experience digital vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap, prioritising investment and balancing optimisation of today’s services with future transformation.
  • Own the performance and lifecycle of donor-facing digital products across web, self-service and emerging channels, creating connected, accessible and human-centred experiences across the end-to-end donor journey.
  • Partner across customer, marketing and data teams to deliver personalisation, using behavioural analytics, customer insights and experimentation to optimise experiences and demonstrate measurable value.
  • Set the strategic direction for AI, automation and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to improve customer outcomes while ensuring appropriate governance, safeguards and human support.
  • Partner with ICT and architecture leaders to ensure digital platforms and capabilities are scalable, secure, reliable and fit for customer and operational needs.
  • Provide leadership across an evolving Scaled Agile Release Train spanning exploration, discovery, and delivery, investment, change readiness and benefits realisation, bringing product, design, technology and operational teams together around shared outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary digital team, building capability across product, design, content, analytics, accessibility, experimentation and AI literacy while fostering curiosity, accountability and continuous improvement.

Sounds interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:

You are a strategic digital leader with a proven track record of delivering customer-focused digital transformation. You can balance long-term vision with practical execution and bring together product, design, technology and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.

You'll bring:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience across digital product, digital experience, digital platforms or transformation.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across product management, UX/UI, service design, content and optimisation.
  • Strong product operating model expertise, including portfolio prioritisation, discovery, delivery, benefits realisation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing complex digital ecosystems spanning web, mobile, customer service and digital channels.
  • Deep knowledge of human-centred design, accessibility, customer research and behavioural analytics.
  • Experience translating customer and business needs into digital roadmaps, investment priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience with personalisation, customer data platforms, digital analytics, identity management or AI-enabled experiences.
  • Strong commercial, financial and vendor management capability.
  • Knowledge of privacy, cyber security, AI governance and digital service obligations.
  • Exceptional executive stakeholder management, communication and change leadership skills.
  • SAFe certification and Lean Portfolio Management experience will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in healthcare, government, financial services or other highly regulated environments is also highly regarded.

We place our employee's well-being at the forefront and express gratitude and care for one another. As an Australian Workplace Equality Index recognised employer and one of Australia’s menopause-friendly organisations, we celebrate diversity and support all our people.

In addition to being a part of an organisation that is the heartbeat of the Nation, you will have access to the following:

  • Ability to purchase additional annual leave.
  • Access to salary packaging with an option to package up to $15,900 for living expenses and $2,650 for meals and entertainment.
  • 14 weeks paid parental leave - no waiting period for either parent.
  • Our dedicated employee assistance program - Sonder that you can access 24/7 from an app on your phone.
  • Plus, many more!
