Our work covers accreditation, evaluation and quality assurance, supporting the delivery of education that is fit for purpose, effective and culturally responsive. Our current portfolio includes:

  • Running the National Placement Evaluation Centre (NPEC), which evaluates nursing and midwifery professional experience placements
  • Strengthening quality assurance in nursing and midwifery postgraduate education and professional development

Our values are Integrity, Equity, Impact, Excellence and Courage.

About the role

We're looking for a nurse, midwife or other health professional who wants to apply their clinical knowledge on a broader scale. You'll work closely with our Program Director (Quality Assurance) and support delivery across HESA's programs. You'll:

  • Coordinate quality assurance, accreditation, evaluation and organisational projects from start to finish, tracking timelines, risks and deliverables
  • Conduct environmental scans, critically reviewing literature and synthesising research to inform the development and review of education standards and guidelines and support informed decisions
  • Coordinate consultation with key stakeholders including education providers, professional bodies, health services, government and advisory groups
  • Organise meetings, workshops, committees and working groups, including papers and follow-up actions
  • Prepare reports, briefing papers, consultation materials and correspondence

About you

You're organised, collaborative and comfortable working with a degree of autonomy. You'll bring:

  • Current Ahpra registration as a nurse, midwife or other relevant health professional (essential)
  • An understanding of the Australian healthcare system and tertiary education sector
  • Experience coordinating projects, programs or quality improvement initiatives with competing priorities
  • Experience in quality improvement, clinical governance, accreditation, education, service development or standards implementation
  • Strong written communication, including clear and accurate professional documents
  • Sound analytical and critical thinking skills, and good judgement
  • Strong attention to detail and good proficiency with Microsoft 365

Experience in a specialist clinical setting (e.g. primary care, rural and remote, aged care), or in health professional education, regulation or committee support, will be highly regarded.

What we offer

  • Salary of $114,000 - $130,000 + super (pro rata for part-time)
  • Flexible hybrid working from our Canberra office
  • Choice of 0.8 or 1.0 FTE
  • Meaningful work that shapes how the future health workforce is educated
  • A fixed-term contract to 30 June 2027, with possibility of extension

Anmac welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disability and people of all ages, genders and sexualities.
