Australian Caravan Centre are currently recruiting for a Pre-Delivery Technician to join our team at our dealership located in Chinderah. As a Pre-Delivery Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring our new and second-hand caravans are thoroughly inspected, serviced, repaired and prepared for delivery. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship will help ensure every caravan is ready for our customers to enjoy. Full-time position available:
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Chinderah location
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Conducting thorough pre-delivery inspections on new and second-hand caravans, checking the condition and functionality of all fittings and appliances.
- Fitting a range of caravan accessories.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs and maintenance.
- Completing silicone and caulking work to a high standard.
- Identifying and resolving issues to ensure caravans meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Ensuring pre-delivery work is completed within scheduled timeframes to support a smooth customer handover experience.
- Assisting with servicing, repairs and general workshop duties as required.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace.
- Working collaboratively with the Pre-Delivery team to meet daily targets and dealership requirements.
About you:
- Qualifications: Automotive, mechanical or Certificate III in Recreational Vehicle Service and Repair qualifications are favourable but not essential, provided you have relevant skills and experience.
- Technical Skills: Experience with caravan servicing, repairs, maintenance or pre-delivery inspections will be highly regarded.
- Hands-On Skills: Competency using hand and power tools, with experience fitting accessories and completing general repair work.
- Problem Solving: The ability to identify faults, troubleshoot issues and work towards practical solutions.
- Attention to Detail: A commitment to quality workmanship and ensuring caravans are prepared to a high standard.
- Personal Attributes: Reliable, punctual, self-motivated and physically capable of performing hands-on duties.
- Team Spirit: The ability to work effectively with others and contribute to a positive workshop environment.
- Additional Requirements: A forklift licence will be an advantage but is not essential. The successful candidate must provide a current police check.
