Duties:
- Lead and oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.
- Develop and implement production schedules, operational plans and manufacturing procedures to meet business objectives.
- Supervise, mentor and manage production staff, including allocating duties, monitoring performance and providing ongoing guidance.
- Monitor production costs, resource utilisation and operational efficiency, implementing strategies to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and production resources.
- Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with workplace health and safety legislation, quality assurance standards and company policies.
- Review production data and prepare operational reports, analysing performance and recommending improvements where required.
- Oversee the maintenance, servicing and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment to minimise downtime.
- Work closely with senior management and other department managers to coordinate production priorities and business requirements.
- Identify, evaluate and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, quality and operational performance.
- Assist with the planning, acquisition and installation of new machinery, equipment and production technologies.
- Monitor inventory levels of production materials and coordinate stock requirements to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
