We have a highly engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce that is unified by our goal to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives.

About the ICT and EMR Services

The EMR Services team, which is based at the Austin Campus but operates across all Austin Health sites, plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing the Electronic Medical Record system, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture built on trust, shared accountability, and collective decision-making. Team members are encouraged to contribute openly, support one another, and take ownership of outcomes to deliver high-quality, patient-centred digital solutions.

About the role

The EMR and ICT Education Clinical Analyst plays a pivotal role in translating clinical workflows into digital solutions and educating healthcare professionals on the effective use of EMRs and ICT systems. This role requires a registered clinician to ensure that digital workflows, training, and optimisation activities are clinically safe, aligned to real-world practice, and appropriate for high-risk care processes such as medication management and patient deterioration.

A regular day will see you:

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for Austin staff on EMR systems and ICT tools.
  • Develop educational materials and deliver training that reflects real clinical scenarios, edge cases, and high-risk situations, requiring clinical expertise to design and facilitate.
  • Provide peer-to-peer clinical credibility, supporting engagement and trust from medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff.
  • Translate EMR workflows into clinically meaningful practice, not just system steps.
  • Ensure all education materials are available electronically in the required platforms.
  • Undertake reporting of education and implementation milestones to relevant stakeholders.

About you

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset. To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

  • Experience in high-risk clinical workflows (deteriorating patient).
  • Experience in medication management.
  • Ability to apply clinical judgement to digital workflow design, training, and optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of clinical care processes, health sector structures, and EMR systems.
  • Experience in adult education, instructional design, or clinical training.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Working at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day. Our people also receive a variety of rewarding benefits, including:

  • Greater take-home pay through generous salary packaging, for living expenses, meals, and holiday accommodation.
  • A suite of wellness initiatives designed to support you, including discounted fitness memberships and special offers on health insurance, and a comprehensive wellbeing program.
  • Onsite childcare at Austin Hospital, easy access via public transport and car parking options.
  • Mentoring and career development opportunities.
