We are an established sheet metal manufacturing business located in Dandenong South, looking for a reliable and hardworking Sheet Metal Labourer to join our small, friendly team of six. We have long-term contracts with major electricity suppliers Australia-wide, providing an excellent level of ongoing work and job security.
Key responsibilities:
- Sanding and grinding light-gauge sheet metal and aluminium
- Preparing and finishing sheet metal components
- General workshop and labouring duties
- Assisting our experienced team with manufacturing work
- Keeping the workshop clean, safe and organised
About you:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Keen to learn and develop new skills
- Able to work well as part of a small team
- Takes pride in their work
- Has a good attitude and strong work ethic
- Previous experience in sheet metal, fabrication, sanding or grinding would be an advantage, but we are willing to train the right person
$30 - $35 per hour + Super
Regular overtime available at time and a half
Permanent part-time can be negotiated for the right person
