  • Communicate work progress and emerging issues with stakeholders

About you:

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification (Light Vehicle and Diesel Mechanics encouraged to apply)
  • Proven reliability, personal accountability and confidence managing work independently
  • Locomotive and wagon experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to provide updates and *escalate* issues to an off-site leader
  • Strong fault finding and troubleshooting experience, with strong ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and instructions including the Workplace Health and Safety Act
  • Computer literate, with the discipline to maintain accurate records and report completed work

The successful applicant will be required to complete a Category 1 Rail Medical, including drug and alcohol screening, as part of the pre-employment process.
