Aurenne Mining is seeking a fit, reliable and motivated Laboratory Technician to work in our new exploration area that boasts a brand new 40,000 samples a month Photon Assay laboratory at our Mt Ida gold operation. This is not a traditional laboratory role. It is a hands-on, physically demanding position involving repetitive manual handling and the loading of samples into the crusher system.
You will need to be comfortable lifting samples, working in a dusty environment and working efficiently to production targets while maintaining accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and handle geological samples for processing
- Operate and monitor the Photon Assay system
- Complete sample and production records
- Perform repetitive manual handling throughout the shift
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work closely with the laboratory and geology teams
- Meet daily and monthly production targets
About You
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual work
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking

- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous laboratory, mining, production or sample-handling experience is highly regarded but not essential
