As Power Transmission & Distribution Practice Leader, based in Brisbane, you'll build and lead a strong, collaborative team, set the technical standard, and partner with clients to shape the future of energy infrastructure across Queensland. This is a senior leadership role - If you're driven by lasting community impact, advancing sustainable practices, and helping people do their best work, we invite you to take the next step in your career with us.

  • Build and grow a strong, collaborative T&D team through coaching, mentoring and developing the next generation of technical leaders.
  • Set practice priorities and technical standards, ensuring consistent quality and reliable delivery across the portfolio.
  • Provide credible technical leadership on complex transmission and distribution projects - substations, overhead and underground lines, high-voltage networks and grid connections - and on projects across other markets that draw on the team’s expertise.
  • Balance client expectations, technical standards, resourcing, and commercial outcomes in day-to-day decisions.
  • Champion technology-enabled ways of working and digital delivery across the discipline.

In addition to your commercial and business acumen, you will play a critical role in strengthening client relationships, expanding industry networks, and enhancing Aurecon’s reputation. Drawing on your established industry position and trusted client connections, you'll continue building our brand, expanding the project pipeline, and positioning the practice for future growth. Your ability to develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships will be instrumental in supporting our ongoing success and creating new opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
  • Strong client relationships and a history of securing and delivering impactful work.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
