PROJECT MANAGER PORTABLE BONDS in Adelaide

Adelaide Full-Time On-site

  • Lead a high-profile reform project from design through to delivery
  • Work at the intersection of project delivery, technology and policy
  • Make a tangible difference to renters across South Australia!

Lead the delivery of a significant government reform and help create a more contemporary, customer-focused rental bonds service. As Project Manager, Portable Bonds with Consumer and Business Services, you'll lead the design and implementation of the Portable Rental Bonds Scheme.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of a complex, high-profile program that brings together technology, service design, policy, legislation and operational delivery. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you'll lead a small team, oversee project delivery and work across government and with key external stakeholders to turn the vision for portable rental bonds into an effective end-to-end service.

You’ll navigate complex challenges, influence outcomes and bring together diverse stakeholders to deliver practical solutions. From overseeing system enhancements and vendors to managing risks, governance and competing priorities, you'll play a central role in establishing a new service that aims to improve outcomes for renters while supporting broader government and regulatory objectives.

  • Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Portable Rental Bonds Scheme.
  • Establish project plans, priorities, timelines and governance frameworks to deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Lead and support a small team, building capability and creating a positive, collaborative culture.
  • Oversee system enhancements, service design and the integration of technology, processes and operational requirements.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, resources and budget to keep delivery on track.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across government, industry, technology providers and other key partners.
  • Oversee vendor delivery and ensure project outputs meet agreed requirements, timeframes and quality expectations.
  • Provide high-level advice, reporting and recommendations to support informed decision-making.

We're looking for an experienced project leader who thrives on complex projects, meaningful reform and bringing people together to deliver results. You'll be comfortable operating with autonomy, navigating ambiguity and making sound decisions when priorities, stakeholder expectations and delivery requirements compete.

You’ll bring strong project management capability, excellent stakeholder and influencing skills, and the ability to translate strategic objectives into practical outcomes. Experience in government, housing, rental bonds, legislative reform or technology-enabled service delivery will be highly regarded.

This is an opportunity to do more than manage a project — you'll help build a new service from the ground up and shape how rental bonds are delivered in South Australia. If you're ready to lead complex reform, influence meaningful change and see your work translated into a service used by the community, we'd love to hear from you.
