Movilift Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Fitter for a permanent full-time position based in Wollstonecraft, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, installing, maintaining and repairing equipment and components, ensuring that all work meets technical specifications, quality standards and workplace safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans and specifications.
- Measuring, marking and preparing components for fitting and assembly.
- Fitting, assembling and installing equipment and machinery components.
- Dismantling equipment to inspect and identify faults.
- Repairing or replacing worn, damaged or defective parts.
- Installing, aligning and adjusting assemblies and moving components.
- Checking dimensions, clearances and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
- Testing and adjusting assembled equipment to ensure correct operation.
- Performing routine maintenance and fault-finding.
- Maintaining tools, equipment and a safe working environment.
About You
- Relevant trade qualification in Fitting or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Fitter.
- Demonstrated experience in fitting, assembly, installation, maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using fitting tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
