An established global renewable energy developer is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager – ANZ to lead technical activities across a portfolio of large-scale Solar PV, BESS and hybrid renewable energy projects.
This is a senior, commercially focused engineering role supporting projects from early-stage development and acquisition through pre-construction, contracting, construction, commissioning and operational handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering activities across the development, acquisition and delivery of utility-scale Solar PV, BESS and hybrid projects.
- Manage technical due diligence for acquisitions, project financing and divestments.
- Assess Solar PV and BESS technologies including modules, inverters, trackers, structures, batteries, BMS and EMS systems.
- Lead concept design development including equipment sizing, layouts, SLDs, civil works and balance-of-plant systems.
- Develop and review technical appendices for OEM supply, EPC, ICP and O&M contracts.
- Lead technical negotiations with OEMs, EPC contractors, ICPs and O&M providers.
Experience:
- 10+ years' experience within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong experience across utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects in Australia.
- Experience gained with a renewable energy developer, EPC contractor, owner's engineer or technical advisory consultancy.
- Strong understanding of Solar PV and BESS technologies and associated balance-of-plant infrastructure.
- Experience developing and negotiating technical requirements within EPC, OEM, ICP and O&M contracts.
- HV substation design and construction experience would be highly regarded.
