About the role

We're looking for an experienced State Sales Manager to lead our sales function, inspire a high-performing team and drive sustainable growth across the state. This is a senior leadership role where you'll work alongside the State General Manager, Sales leadership and operational teams to shape strategy, strengthen customer partnerships and deliver commercial results. You'll lead a team of Sales professionals, coach capability, optimise performance and help identify new opportunities that grow our market presence.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team to deliver profitable growth across the state.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that grow market share, strengthen customer relationships and win new business.
- Drive sales performance through effective pipeline management, forecasting and CRM discipline.
- Build strong partnerships with customers and collaborate with Operations, Specialists and Major Projects to deliver tailored solutions.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to improve sales performance, customer experience and commercial outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading successful B2B sales teams.
- Strong commercial, business development and major account management capability.
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM to manage pipelines and performance.
- Excellent coaching, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to influence at all levels.
