Mint Electrical Services is a South Australian-owned commercial electrical contractor delivering projects across commercial, industrial, and fit-out sectors.

We are building more than electrical projects.

We are building a company known for professionalism, reliability, communication, and high-quality delivery.

Our Vision

South Australia's trusted electrical installer for top-tier builders and premier clients.

Our Mission

We are a leading electrical company committed to delivering high-quality, on-time, and on-budget projects.

We build lasting relationships with our clients, suppliers, and team by treating every project with care and precision as if it were our own.

We create a culture committed to reliability, professionalism, and excellence in everything we do.

We have a strong pipeline of work, a clear vision for growth, and a team culture genuinely focused on people. This is not a company where people are treated like numbers.

We are now looking for Leading Hand Electricians to join us at a pivotal point in our growth and help take this business to the next level.

Why This Role Is Different

This is more than just another sparky position.

As a Leading Hand, you won't simply be given a set of drawings and left to get on with it.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial projects while leading your team on site and working closely with project management.

Your involvement will include

  • Leading and mentoring a team of electricians and apprentices.
  • Planning daily site activities to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Coordinating with project managers, builders, and other trades.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and productivity.
  • Identifying site issues early and providing practical solutions.
  • Assisting with commissioning, handovers, and project completion.
  • Contributing ideas to improve site productivity, quality, and company systems.

If you enjoy leading people, taking ownership of your projects, and being part of a growing commercial electrical business, this role is for you.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Leading Hand Electrician who takes pride in delivering quality work and leading by example.

This is not a stepping-stone role, it is an opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing South Australian business.

You will work closely with the Director and Project Managers while taking ownership of your sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and construction practices.
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the confidence to make practical decisions onsite.

  • A proactive attitude with a strong focus on quality, productivity, and safety.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Highly Regarded
  • Experience leading commercial projects from first fix through to commissioning.
  • Experience with Simpro or similar job management software.

  • Supporting our team and investing in their development
  • Open communication at every level
  • Career progression and leadership development
  • Mental well-being and building a workplace people genuinely enjoy
  • Treating every project with care and precision as if it were our own
