ASX: Powering Australia's financial markets

Why join the ASX? When you join ASX, you're joining a company with a strong purpose - to power a stronger economic future by enabling a fair and dynamic marketplace for all. In your new role, you'll be part of a leading global securities exchange with a strong brand. We are known for being a trusted market operator and an exciting data hub. We are more than a securities exchange! The ASX team brings together talented people from a diverse range of disciplines. We run critical market infrastructure, with 1 in 3 people employed within technology. Yet we have a unique complexity of roles across a range of disciplines such as operations, program delivery, financial products, investor engagement, risk and compliance. We're proud to foster a workplace where diversity is celebrated and inclusion is part of our everyday culture.

About the team: Support the TPRM Lead by executing the day-to-day supplier risk management activities for ASX's most critical third-party relationships. This team is responsible for the frameworks and capability that underpin the new end-to-end Third Party Risk Management function at ASX. You will be responsible for conducting third-party risk reviews, supporting governance activities, and maintaining risk management tools. You will collaborate with internal teams, business units and senior management to collect required information and ensure compliance. You will also ensure the third-party risk management frameworks and processes across ASX are challenged, improved, and consistently applied.

What you will be doing:

  • Supplier risk assessments: Conduct ongoing third-party risk reviews and due diligence for assigned suppliers (including participant and issuer dependencies). Gather and analyse supplier data (financials, questionnaires, audit reports, etc.) to assess risk levels. Update and maintain the third-party inventory with appropriate risk tier classifications (noting criticality and concentration).
  • Contract and performance monitoring: Verify that SLAs/contract terms are complete and align with ASX's requirements (security, BCP, privacy clauses). Track key risk indicators and service performance metrics; flag any deviations or incidents for escalation. Ensure evidence of compliance is archived and audit-ready.
  • Data & reporting: Maintain risk management tools and dashboards. Prepare regular reports on supplier risk status and any issues found. Support responses to internal or external audits and regulatory inquiries related to third-party oversight.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement and IT teams to collect required information from suppliers. Ensure third parties meet ASX's policy obligations (e.g. cybersecurity measures, privacy controls, business continuity plans) as set out in ASX's Supplier Code. Participate in contract intake or renewal meetings, providing risk analysis input.
  • Governance support: Assist in preparing materials for TPRM committee meetings. Help document and refine the TPRM processes (e.g. updating checklists, workflows).

What you will bring:

  • Must have: Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, procurement, audit or related roles (financial services experience preferred). Familiarity with third-party/supplier risk concepts. Strong analytical and organisational skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, BI/dashboard software). Knowledge of regulatory/compliance expectations for outsourcing (e.g. operational risk standards, data protection).
  • Nice to have: Relevant certifications or a willingness to obtain them are advantageous.
