About the role
Newcoast EV Charging is seeking a licensed electrician to deliver safe, high-quality EV charger installations at residential and commercial properties. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works confidently and independently, and communicates professionally with customers and the office.
Key responsibilities
- Assess electrical supply, switchboards and cable routes before installation.
- Install EV chargers, dedicated circuits, cabling and electrical protection, including approved switchboard upgrades where required.
- Test and commission installations, configure compatible smart features and troubleshoot faults.
- Explain charger operation and app setup to customers during handover.
- Complete job notes, installation photos, test results and required electrical documentation.
- Communicate additional work requirements to the office and maintain a safe, tidy worksite.
What we are looking for
- Current NSW electrical licence, driver's licence and White Card.
- Strong electrical installation, testing and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to organise your day, work independently and provide professional customer service.
- Attention to detail and confidence using mobile job management software.
- EV charger installation experience is highly regarded. Experience with smart chargers, load management, solar integration or AroFlo would also be an advantage.
