We are seeking polished, passionate, and detail-oriented Front of House Waitstaff to join our dining room team.
The Role
As the face of Aura on the rivers, you will guide our guests through an unforgettable gastronomic journey. You aren't just taking orders—you are curating an atmosphere, storytelling through our food and beverage programs, and anticipating guest needs before they arise.
Key Responsibilities:

Menu & Wine Storytelling: Articulate complex culinary techniques, seasonal ingredient provenance, and tasting menu progressions with confidence.

Beverage Service: Collaborate with our Sommelier and Bar team to execute seamless wine service, aperitif recommendations, and cocktail pairings.

Technical Excellence: Maintain rigorous fine dining standards—including synchronized course delivery, proper glassware handling, and discrete table maintenance.

Guest Relations: Recognise regular patrons, celebrate special occasions, and manage dietary requirements or allergies with absolute care and accuracy across POS and kitchen communication.

Reset & Mise en Place: Take pride in dining room presentation, from polishing glassware and silverware to ensuring crisp table settings and ambient lighting alignment prior to service.
About You

Proven Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a section waitperson in a hatted restaurant, premium fine dining venue, or luxury hotel environment.

Food & Wine Passion: Strong foundational knowledge of wine varietals, classic cocktails, and modern culinary terminology (WSET Level 1 or 2 is highly regarded, though not mandatory).

Poise Under Pressure: Ability to maintain a calm, warm, and graceful presence during peak service.

Impeccable Presentation: High standard of personal grooming, articulate communication, and genuine emotional intelligence.

Compliance: Current Queensland RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate and full Australian working rights.
