We are seeking a friendly and professional Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team at Armstrong Health in the growing Armstrong Creek community in Victoria. As a Casual Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients and supporting the smooth running of our medical practice. This is a casual position offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
What you'll be doing
- Be available to work between the hours of 8 am to 6 pm depending on the roster Monday to Friday, Saturday from 8-30 am to 12:30 pm (rotating).
- Greet patients, visitors, and guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and provide accurate information to patients.
- Register patients, update their personal and medical information.
- Coordinate and maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and handle billing inquiries.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and empathy towards patients' needs.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, clinicians and colleagues
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in using medical practice management software (Best Practice) and Microsoft Office applications
- A friendly, empathetic and patient-focused approach
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standards
- Must be reliability and work well in a team environment
