About The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Arisit across Australia and New Zealand.
You will lead and develop a finance team and take the ownership of day-to-day finance operations.
A key focus will be reviewing and improving the processes, controls and reporting whilst maintaining the integrity of financial data and controls.
- You will also;
- Support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate and timely month-end, half-year and year-end financial reporting.
- Prepare journals, reconciliations and financial reports while ensuring the integrity of financial data and compliance with group reporting requirements.
- Analyse financial results, investigate variances, and resolve complex accounting and reconciliation issues.
- Oversee payroll month-end, BAS/IAS lodgements, and support AU/NZ tax and statutory compliance obligations.
- Responsible for the maintenance of fixed assets register, general ledgers and ERP systems, ensuring accurate financial records and reporting.
- Assist with system enhancements, process improvements and policy implementation initiatives.
- Oversee the end to end Procure to to Pay (PTP) Cycle including supply ordering inventory replenishment, goods receipt, accounts payable processing and payment execution.
- Collaborate with Warehouse and Operational teams to ensure robust inventory controls, accurate stock valuation, effective provisioning, and appropriate management of stock-in-trade, display stock, and consignment inventory.
- Monitor inventory turnover, stock ageing, and working capital metrics, providing analysis and recommendations to support business performance and cash flow optimization.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Head Office Finance teams to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with group standards.
- Support compliance and audit processes by assisting the FC to ensure financial statements meet Australian regulatory requirements.
About You
You will be a hands-on, practical finance leader with experience in financial reporting and commercial focus with high standards and a collaborative style.
- You will also have;
- CPA or CA qualification
- Several years in a senior leadership role
- Effective communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Experience with ERP systems (Business Central or D365 would be advantageous).
- Practical understanding of accounting standards and compliance.
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Effective time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to solve problems effectively.
