An outstanding opportunity is available for a VR General Practitioner to join a busy, well-established medical practice on the Gold Coast, offering an attractive remuneration package, a substantial sign-on bonus and an established patient base ready to inherit.
With a longstanding GP relocating closer to home, the practice is seeking an experienced GP to take over an existing cohort of well-managed patients, providing immediate consulting opportunities and strong earning potential from day one.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP seeking financial security, clinical autonomy and long-term stability without the challenge of building a patient base from scratch.
$30,000 sign-on bonus for a two-year commitment, pro-rata for part-time arrangements
$200 per hour + GST guaranteed or 70% of billings, whichever is greater, for the first six months
70% of billings thereafter, with a 30% service fee + GST
Established patient base with immediate consulting demand
Full-time or substantial part-time opportunities
Monday to Friday consulting, with optional weekend sessions
Flexibility to develop and expand special clinical interests
Long-term opportunity within an established medical practice

The Opportunity
You will inherit an established patient cohort from a longstanding, highly regarded GP who is relocating to reduce their daily commute.
With an existing patient base and consistent demand for consultations, you can focus on delivering high-quality patient care while establishing long-term relationships and maintaining strong billing opportunities.
The practice is seeking a GP with a broad generalist scope of practice who enjoys comprehensive family medicine, continuity of care and the flexibility to pursue additional clinical interests.
Combining an attractive six-month income guarantee, a substantial sign-on bonus and an established patient following, this opportunity provides an excellent foundation for a financially rewarding and professionally fulfilling long-term position.
About You
- Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM
- Current AHPRA registration
- Strong general practice clinical skills
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability for full-time or substantial part-time consulting
GPs with additional clinical interests are encouraged to apply, particularly in:
- Skin cancer medicine and minor surgical procedures
- Musculoskeletal medicine
- Occupational medicine and WorkCover
- Medicinal cannabis
- Medical acupuncture
- Chronic disease management
- General family medicine
Additional special interests are welcomed but are not essential.
DPA Considerations: While the practice is located in a non-DPA area, weekend consulting arrangements may be considered for eligible doctors requiring a DPA exemption, subject to applicable requirements.
