Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present meals in line with the Grano's menu and quality standards.
• Ensure food is prepared fresh, safely, and consistently for customers.
• Assist with menu planning, specials, and seasonal food offerings.
• Maintain high standards of food presentation, portion control, and kitchen hygiene.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and kitchen supplies.
• Ensure all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations are followed.
• Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
• Train and support junior kitchen staff where required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation.
• Assist with managing food costs, wastage, and kitchen productivity.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef in a hotel, restaurant, pub, or similar hospitality environment.
• Experience in an Italian Restaurant is hlighly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Relevant commercial cookery qualification is preferred.
• Must be reliable, hardworking, and passionate about delivering quality food.
