APG Workforce Newcastle is currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Christmas Casual Process Workers to join the Turkey Section of a leading poultry processing facility based in Beresfield.
What's on Offer?
- $32.81 per hour
- Predominantly day shift work
- Monday to Friday availability essential
- Full availability required throughout the busy Christmas period
- 6am and 9am starts available
- Full training provided – no previous experience necessary

Key Responsibilities
- Turkey Packing
- Evisceration duties, including removing internal organs from processed turkeys
- Processing and handling raw turkey products
- Weighing and labelling finished products
- Wrapping, stacking and palletising products
- Quality checking products to ensure standards are maintained
- Operating food processing equipment
- General production and processing duties
- Following strict food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
To Be Successful You Will Have:
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Availability to work Monday to Friday and weekends if required.
- Full availability throughout the busy Christmas periodReliable ability to get to and from the Beresfield site for all rostered shifts
- Ability to perform repetitive manual handling tasks, including lifting up to 20kg
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced factory environment
- Comfortable handling, raw and cooked poultry products and performing evisceration duties where required
- Comfortable working in a poultry processing environment
- Ability to work as part of a large team
- No food allergies (gluten, flour and marinades are used onsite)
- No birds, chickens or pigs kept at home (biosecurity requirement)
