What the day will look like:

• A technically minded insurance professional who enjoys diving deep into policy wording, understanding coverage intent and helping shape market-leading insurance products.
• Part of a specialist team responsible for supporting insurance products across multiple classes and industries.
• Engaging in complex policy wording challenges, innovative insurance products, new product development initiatives, national projects impacting brokers and clients, and technical leadership initiatives.

You’ll collaborate with some of Aon's most experienced technical specialists while building expertise that few insurance professionals ever develop. We’re looking for someone who is intellectually curious, enjoys technical problem-solving, and has a genuine interest in understanding how insurance policies are constructed, interpreted and applied.

You may come from a range of insurance backgrounds, including:

• General Insurance
• Broking
• Underwriting
• Claims
• Legal or Insurance Law
• Product Development
• Technical Services
• Compliance and Governance

Success in this role looks like:

• You are the person people come to when they need help understanding a clause.
• You enjoy reading policy wordings instead of avoiding them.
• You can identify a coverage issue before it becomes a client issue.
• You appreciate detail, enjoy solving technical problems and take pride in producing high-quality work.

A claims background may be particularly well suited to this role. If you've spent time handling claims, you've likely developed many of the skills that are critical to success as a Technical Executive, such as:

• Interpreting policy wordings and coverage provisions.
• Assessing whether a claim falls within the insuring clause.
• Analysing exclusions, conditions and endorsements.
• Identifying coverage gaps and unintended consequences.
• Negotiating coverage positions with insurers, brokers and clients.
• Explaining complex policy responses in practical terms.
• Understanding how policy wording performs when tested by a real claim.

You’ll be joining a team that’s embracing AI and looking for practical ways it can make us better at what we do. You don’t need to be an AI expert.
