About the role
The National Retail Manager is responsible for leading, developing and driving the commercial performance of a portfolio of 10 retail stores between Victoria, NSW, WA and the ACT. The role is accountable for building high-performing teams, recruiting and retaining exceptional talent, developing Store Managers and driving sustainable sales growth through outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will lead from the front, creating a high-performance culture where customer experience, team engagement, accountability and commercial results are central to everyday operations.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of the Sales outcomes across 10 'bricks and mortar' stores and develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed sales budgets
- Drive sales growth via our renowned exceptional customer engagement and service, and monitor key performance indicators including sales, conversion rates, average transaction value and units per transaction
- Identify opportunities to improve store profitability and productivity and hold Store Managers accountable for sales performance and business results
- Lead recruitment and selection of high-quality retail talent across all locations and ensure each store is appropriately staffed with capable, customer-focused employees
- Develop, coach and mentor Store Managers and their teams, and build a strong leadership pipeline and succession plan
- Drive employee engagement, retention and performance, and address underperformance with improvement plans where required
- Establish and maintain exceptional customer service standards across all 10 stores and build a customer-first culture where service excellence drives sales
- Coach teams to deliver personalised, engaging and professional customer experiences and monitor customer feedback, complaints and satisfaction
- Conduct regular store visits and performance reviews, and ensure stores maintain high standards of presentation, merchandising and visual standards
- Develop seasonal business plans with each manager for each store, establish clear sales targets and performance expectations, and provide regular performance reporting to senior management

- Experience with premium fashion, and their clientele.
- Proven experience in multi-site retail management
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple stores and high-performing teams
- Strong commercial understanding and financial accountability
- Proven success in recruiting, developing and retaining staff
- Exceptional leadership, coaching and communication skills
- A passion for customer service and sales excellence
- Strong analytical skills and KPI management
- Ability to motivate teams, influence performance and deliver results
