AEC Noosa is a well-established and locally loved Emergency Centre providing high-quality care to our community's beloved pets.

This is a full-time position for a calm and clinically confident nurse, with a mix of evening (5:00pm – 11:00pm) and weekend shifts (8:00am – 6:00pm).

Key responsibilities include

  • Providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill and injured emergency patients
  • Assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, surgeries, and treatments
  • Monitoring patient vital signs and administering medications
  • Performing diagnostic tests including bloodwork, radiography, and ultrasound
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Communicating clearly and compassionately with pet owners
  • Collaborating with veterinarians and fellow nurses to ensure the best patient outcomes

What we're looking for

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a veterinary nurse (emergency/critical care experience highly regarded)
  • Strong clinical and technical nursing skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to both animals and their owners

What we offer

  • Full-time, permanent role
  • Penalty rates apply for overtime and any after-hours/weekend work
  • Opportunity to attend the Annual Greencross Conference in Brisbane this October!
  • Ongoing training and development in advanced nursing skills
  • Discounts on veterinary services and Petbarn retail products for your pet
  • A close knit, supportive, and friendly team culture
