As one of the state’s leading not-for-profits, we’re making a meaningful impact at scale. From foster care to aged care and everything in between, our services are as diverse as the people and communities we serve - and we’re growing our reach for the future. Join us as After Hours Site Support at The Arches, and be part of something bigger.

What you’ll do:

  • As an After Hours Site Support team member, you’ll play an important role in providing a safe, welcoming and responsive environment for participants accessing AnglicareSA’s Bail Accommodation Support Program (BASP) at our Port Adelaide site.
  • Working after hours, you’ll be a trusted onsite contact for participants and staff, responding to enquiries, supporting day-to-day site operations and using your experience to identify, manage and escalate risks when needed.
  • You’ll work independently while remaining connected with the broader BASP team and external stakeholders.
  • This is a casual opportunity offering three shifts per month – two Sundays from 10am–6pm and one Wednesday from 3:30pm–10:30pm, providing a consistent and predictable commitment.
  • You will also have the opportunity to take on more casual shifts to cover any planned or unplanned leave on top of the three consistent shifts per month.
  • You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
    • Providing respectful, professional and timely support to participants, including responding to enquiries and assisting with agreed actions and referrals.
    • Monitoring the site after hours, following security and safety procedures, identifying risks and responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
    • Supporting effective referral pathways and liaising with legal representatives, government departments and community service providers.
    • Maintaining accurate participant records, documentation and administrative systems, including data entry and reporting.
    • Supporting the smooth operation of the site, including minor administration, supplies, equipment and financial administration as required.

What you’ll bring:

  • A Certificate III in Community Services or a related field, or studying towards an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Experience working with people with complex needs, ideally within the community services, corrections, drug and alcohol or related sector.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Experience using de-escalation techniques and confidently identifying, responding to and escalating risks.

We would also love you to have:

  • Experience working within a bail accommodation, corrections, homelessness, drug and alcohol or similar support environment.
