People person. Puzzle solver. Calm-in-the-chaos champion. Are you the kind of person who can match the right carer with the right client, keep a busy roster moving and still bring positive energy to the team? Angels in Aprons is an award-winning, family-owned aged care business, and we're looking for a friendly, organised and experienced Rostering & Care Team Leader to join us full-time.
This is a hands-on role where you'll lead a small, supportive team across Rostering and Care Coordination. You'll be actively involved in day-to-day rostering while helping both teams stay organised, connected and on top of their responsibilities. We're looking for someone who enjoys people, loves solving problems and understands that great care starts with a well-supported, organised team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading, coaching and supporting a team of 6 Rosterers and Care Partners, helping everyone work together and stay on track.
- Building and maintaining brokerage relationships, whilst working hands-on in rostering, matching the right Angels with the right clients, balancing availability, continuity of care and SCHADS Award requirements.
- Working closely with the HR Manager to drive workforce planning.
- Keeping across the teams’ daily activities, ensuring priorities are clear, workloads are manageable and important tasks are followed through.
- Monitoring care management minutes and weekly hours to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Responding calmly and creatively when plans change, finding practical solutions for clients and our Angels.
- Supporting clear communication between clients, families, Angels and your office teams.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, teamwork and the client experience.
- Participating in a shared after-hours on-call rotation with six other team members, providing occasional backup support to our external after-hours service when needed.
What you’ll bring:
- Hands-on rostering experience, ideally in aged care, community care or disability services.
- A sound working knowledge of the SCHADS Award and how it applies to rostering.
- An understanding of Care Partner responsibilities under Support at Home, including care coordination and client service delivery.
- Experience supporting, supervising or leading a team, or the confidence and ability to take that next step.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle changing priorities without dropping the ball.
- A warm, approachable personality, good judgement and a practical “let’s sort it out” attitude.
- Confidence using rostering systems and everyday digital tools.
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care and great customer service.
Why you’ll love working with us:
- Competitive pay aligned with the role and your experience, including your own reserved car space.
- A friendly, supportive team that backs one another — we’re a little like family - a place where everyone knows your name.
- Located in a beautiful heritage terrace building overlooking the Brisbane River, surrounded by trendy Park Rd cafés and restaurants.
- An in-house coffee machine, massage chair and a lovely sun deck and courtyard to enjoy during your breaks.
