SALES CONSULTANT – FLOORING & WINDOW FURNISHINGS
Andersens Flooring Cairns is looking for a motivated, results-driven Sales Consultant to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a trusted flooring brand, helping residential and commercial customers transform their spaces with quality flooring and window furnishing solutions.
From the initial customer consultation through to measuring, quoting, product selection and installation, you'll take ownership of the sales process and ensure every customer receives a professional, personalised experience.
Key responsibilities
- Manage residential and commercial sales across flooring and window furnishing ranges
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding their needs, preferences and budgets
- Provide expert product advice and recommend solutions that deliver quality, style and value
- Conduct in-home consultations, site visits, measuring and quoting
- Read and interpret building plans and prepare accurate quotations
- Follow up on enquiries and quotes to convert opportunities into sales
- Manage customer expectations and coordinate projects from sale through to installation
- Maintain communication with customers, installers, suppliers and the wider team
- Achieve sales, conversion and margin targets while maintaining high service standards
- Take ownership of your customers, your results and the overall customer experience
About you
- Proven experience in sales, ideally within flooring, window furnishings, building products or a related industry
- A strong track record of building customer relationships and converting enquiries into sales
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in measuring, quoting and working with numbers
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn sales and business systems
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A genuine commitment to customer service, teamwork and accountability
- A current driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites when required
