Position Purpose: Are you passionate about operational excellence and improving how stores function day to day? We are seeking a Store Operations Specialist to support the rollout of new systems and ways of working, while driving the ongoing development of in-store operational processes and materials across our network. This role is ideal for someone who understands the process of store execution, enjoys simplifying complex systems into practical workflows, and is motivated to create clear, consistent guidance that will enable teams to adapt to change with confidence. Based in Melbourne, you will act as the link between system design and in‑store execution—ensuring operational processes are translated into clear, user-friendly procedures and materials that support teams on the ground. Beyond supporting system and process changes, this role also holds ongoing responsibility for owning, maintaining, and continuously improving store‑facing operational processes across day‑to‑day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process & Procedure Ownership: Own the development, documentation, and maintenance of store operating procedures across project initiatives and business as usual store operations. Document and refine end to end store processes to ensure they are clear, practical, and scalable; aligned to system workflows and operational standards; reflective of real world store execution. Review existing store procedures and collateral, identifying opportunities for simplification, clarity, and improvement.
- Store Operations Collateral & Training Content: Develop and maintain store facing operational materials, including Store Operating Procedures (SOPs), Store Operating Manual content, quick reference guides and job aids, written and digital training materials. Ensure all content is consistent in language, format, and brand tone; easy for store teams to access and apply. Maintain a central, accurate, and up to date library of store operations content.
- Project Rollout & Change Support: Support the national rollout of new systems and ways of working. Translating system functionality into practical, store friendly processes and operating guidance. Partnering closely with project and training teams. Supporting onboarding and change management activities to drive adoption.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with the Store Operations team, project and training teams, store leaders and frontline teams nationally. Act as a key operational liaison between project teams and stores, ensuring feedback informs process and content design. Analyse operational and training feedback to improve clarity, efficiency, and relevance of materials. Support ad hoc Store Operations initiatives, process improvements, or training activities as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of store or clinic operations, workflows, and frontline challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Strong capability with Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Experience developing operational documentation or training content, or a demonstrated ability and motivation to build this capability.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- A solutions‑focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively across both project‑based and BAU operational environments.
- Experience working in a customer‑facing retail or clinic environment as an Audiologist or Retail Specialist.
- Exposure to system implementations or large‑scale operational change.
- Experience with digital learning or content management platforms.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally to support stores or training needs.
Role Overview & Additional Information:
- Reporting to the Store Operations Manager.
- Part of the Store Operations team, with broader accountability for the ongoing development of all in‑store operational processes and collateral.
- Opportunity to have a direct and lasting impact on how our stores operate, ensuring teams feel supported and confident during change and in everyday operations.
